Services provided by CAIMS are grounded in Ideas That Work: Mathematics Professional Development. Eisenhower National Clearinghouse, The Ohio State University, 1998; Principles and Standards for School Mathematics, Reston, VA: NCTM, 2000;  A Position Statement: National Science Teachers Association Standards for Science Teacher Preparation; NRC National Science Education Standards; the TIMSS report: and NCTM Standards for Professional Development. 

In December 2003 CAIMS conducted an assessment designed to measure student achievement in school districts in which CAIMS has a presence.  The results have been aggregated so that class and student identification are anonymous and no individual teachers, classrooms, or students are identified.  The results of that assessment are available in a separate report.
